Title: Non-PFAS Up and Coming Concerns

Description: Microplastics, antimicrobial resistance and mercury are all areas of emerging concern. Overviews of how these microconstituents play a role and treatments are discussed.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to: 1. Discuss regulations/guidelines for emerging contaminants in water treatment and water reuse applications. 2. Explain antimicrobial resistance is a concern for water resource recovery facilities. Discover ways to translate knowledge to stakeholders. 3. Recognize treatment methods to achieve low level mercury limits by controlling suspended solids.
